The rates of asthma and allergic disease in the UK are among the highest in the world. It is estimated almost half the UK population will suffer from an allergy at sometime in their lives while there are, on average, 3 asthma sufferers in every classroom, with someone dying of asthma every 6 hours.
AAIR campaigns are crucial in helping raise awareness of the need to tackle this problem, which is now said to be reaching epidemic proportions in the UK.
