MEET THE TEAM

We are a very small team here at AAIR - just three of us covering all aspects of running a busy charity and raising vital funds. It does get pretty hectic so we are always keen to hear from anyone who might like to lend a helping hand. We're a friendly and approachable bunch and the same is true of our many supporters. If you would like to help out or get in touch just give us a call or drop us a line - it will always be one of us that you deal with.

Fundraising Director Caroline Pope
I've been with the charity for ten years and seen many changes in that time. My role is to oversee the running of AAIR so the charity can continue to support the vital research which takes place in the hospital. Although we are a small team we try to cover every avenue of fundraising. I like to think that we have created a more personal approach to our supporters and hope they realise how important they are to us and the work of the charity. People's generosity and kindness never stops amazing me.
When I'm not working I spend time dancing the Argentine tango, eating out or watching live music. I'm also attempting to continue learning to play the saxophone which is no doubt upsetting the neigbours and my cat.

PR & Marketing Manager Tracy Nicoll
I joined AAIR in July 2005. My aim is to highlight the pioneering work carried out by the research team, publicise our unique fundraising events and generally raise awareness of AAIR and its role in helping to find cures and treatments for asthma and allergic disease. It’s a job I love - partly because is good to know I’m helping make a difference and partly because the people involved with AAIR are such a great team.
I work two days a week, which should leave plenty of free time but somehow there never seems to be a minute. Probably due to having a home to run with my husband Mike and looking after our teenage children Ellie & Danny.

Fundraising Assistant Emma Larter
I've been with AAIR now for 2 1/2 years as Fundraising Assistant and love my role at the charity!
I deal with the day to day admin and housekeeping and support Caroline and Tracy in setting up events and raising funds for the continouous research into asthma and allergy. I am continually shocked at how many people asthma and allergy effects so feel proud to be part of such a worthwhile cause.
We have a great team and when I'm not enjoying working with the girls I'm busy at home looking after my husband, Paul and our two children Isabelle, 3yrs and Ollie 11 months so don't have much time for anything else! I'm always available for a chat about our forthcoming events or anything else you want to know about AAIR.

AAIR AMBASSADORS
We have eight ambassadors who have helped the charity enormously in various ways including giving up time to help at our fundraising events as well raising money through their own events or promoting AAIR. They are Jan Smart, Judith Holloway, Brea Whitlock Joan Whitcher, Sue Clarke, Manraj Panchmatia, Nigel and Mary Foss.
